Dear Sirs of the American Radio Relay League, ARRL Awards Committee:

Catalonia, a nation of Europe from more than one thousand years, and the catalan radio amateurs has the right to ask the DXAC Committee to add Catalonia in the DXCC countries/entities list. We just would like to correct the historical injustice and draw the close attention of the DXAC Committee and the American Radio League (ARRL) board of directors to this fact.

The radio amateurs of Catalonia has permanent relations with the Generalitat of Catalunya (Government of Catalonia) that processes the radio amateur licenses and we collaborate with the drafting of the regulations of radio amateurs and the general telecommunications laws. We also collaborate with the Civil Protection of the Generalitat de Catalunya.

We request that they grant a DXCC country for Catalonia, which we already have own prefixes, EA3, EB3, EC3, ED3, EE3, EF3, EG3, EH3, AM3, AN3 & AO3.

We have this right because Catalonia is exactly the same case such others territories that have the status of DXCC country/entity such Scotland, England, Wales, Man, Northern Ireland and Jersey although are not managed by their governments. They are simply historical territories but are not independent states. In Scotland a referendum was held for the independence in 2014 and the people voted NO. In Catalonia a referendum was held for the independence, they won YES by majority on October 1, 2017.

Another example, Kaliningrad is a province of Russia and is recognized a DXCC country. Catalonia has more powers of government than all these territories, has 42 counties, 7.5 million inhabitants and more than 5,000 radio amateurs.

We do not understand why 1A0C, Sovereign Military Order of Malta which is only an NGO with a call sign not authorized by the ITU, is a DXCC country and Mount Athos where some radio amateurs of this territory lives in Catalonia. In Catalonia we have the Monastery of Montserrat where 10 radio amateurs live there.

The Parliament of Catalonia is one of the oldest and most exemplary in the world, dating from the 11th century. Even Catalonia is present all over the world today, from the name of California, which is believed to have been due to the heat it does, according to the catalan expression “it looks like a lime kiln” in catalan “sembla un forn de calç” used when it is very hot, the origin of the word would come from the union of “lime” (calç) and “oven” (forn) and it is believed that it was put by the first Governor of California, the catalan Gaspar de Portolà who was also the founder of the cities of San Diego and Monterrey.

There is an initiative of a catalan radio amateur at change.org where he has already collected more than 2,000 signatures to request and include Catalonia in the DXCC countries/entities list. The ARRL can not ignore and disparage the majority (51%) of catalan radio amateurs who have signed this petition.

We request the ARRL board directors, Mr. Richard A. Roderick (K5UR), President of the American Radio Relay League, grant DXCC country status to Catalonia very soon. Today? Why not?

EL CORRAL. MANIFEST SOBRE L’AUTOCENSURA A TV3

Bricoheroes! D’aquí a 1 hora s’estrenarà el primer capítol de la 3a i última temporada. @tv3cat ens n’ha fet retirar un fragment. El que veureu a les 22:00 no és exactament el que nosaltres vam crear. Hem d’acatar-ho però no hi estem d’acord. No és fàcil fer aquest tweet perquè probablement ens hi juguem feina i futurs projectes però com a creador del format i del guió d’aquest moment concret, vull compartir-ho per evidenciar que tenim un problema de llibertat d’expressió.

El mes de juliol es va cancel·lar l’emissió de la segona temporada a la TDT perquè gent de @CiudadanosCs, @socialistes_cat i @Tonicanto 1 (que ja no sé on posar-lo) van escandalitzar-se perquè evidentment no els hi agrada, o més ben dit, els molesta el nostre contingut. Van trobar l’excusa de la publicitat (Hi havia mencions publicitàries directes que no estaven etiquetades com a tal. No ho estaven perquè el programa estava pensat per YouTube i no per la TDT, i @tv3cat va decidir repetir les temporades a la TDT i no van caure en etiquetar-ho)

Trobareu desenes d’exemples d’altres programes que han fet al mateix, però com que el contingut en aquests casos no molestava a ningú políticament, la publicitat no era problema. Quan es va generar la polèmica, per sort, la 3a temporada ja estava signada i va tirar endavant. Tot i així, @tv3cat ja ens ha comunicat que en aquesta ocasió només es distribuirà a YouTube i no es repetirà a l’estiu a la TDT com s’havia fet amb les altres dues. Es podria fer, perquè les mencions en aquest cas s’han etiquetat degudament. Malgrat tot no l’emetran a la TDT per estalviar-se problemes, i així mateix ens ho han fet saber. Estic plenament convençut que sense la polèmica del juliol passat el gag d’avui referent a Leticia Ortiz s’hagués emès sense problemes, com s’havien emès altres gags igual d’irreverents.

Però per alguna raó o altra, a no sé qui exactament, no li interessa que es faci soroll. Tampoc vam ser convidats a la presentació de la nova temporada de @tv3cat on es van presentar totes les estrenes i renovacions, excepte la 3a i última temporada de BricoHeroes que no es va ni esmentar. També se’ns va dir, que davant la polèmica, no convenia fer soroll. A qui exactament? Perquè jo crec que ens convé fer més soroll que mai i defensar l’únic producte audiovisual que té @tv3cat ara mateix amb capacitat d’atrapar als joves en català.

Respecte al fragment concret que ens han censurat al capítol d’avui (Ells no diuen censura, diuen que “tenim una visió diferent respecte un gag”) us explico la justificació que m’han donat per retirar-lo. Diuen que el gag és masclista i que una televisió pública no ho pot emetre. Crec que qualsevol persona pot entendre que el que està passant en aquell moment, en un context d’un programa d’humor negre i estripat, és que hi ha dos pelacanyes tancats en un taller jugant a imaginar-se que un dia seran milionaris. I que a un d’ells se li acut dir que “li agradaria que li xupés la Leticia Ortiz” És una fantasia de milionari, i evidentment algú la pot trobar masclista, però és que malauradament i precisament els milionaris que coneixem tots no solen ser gent de valors massa respectables. Aquesta és la meva visió i la de l’equip de #BricoHeroes TV3 que som els que hem creat el format i que, volem defensar, precisament, que per dir coses com aquestes i ficar-nos amb el poder, el programa s’ha convertit en un fenomen en general i sobretot entre els joves.

Explico el criteri que hem seguit fins ara amb els límits del nostre humor. Tot allò que podia comportar problemes legals: incitació a la violència, dret a l’honor, protecció de menors… Els gags que @tv3cat ens ha demanat retirar en aquest sentit s’han retirat sempre i hi hem estat d’acord. Retirar contingut per evitar problemes legals ho puc entendre, però no puc compartir DE CAP MANERA, retirar contingut només per estalviar-se problemes polítics. No ens havia passat mai fins ara, i en aquest sentit vull agrair a @tv3cat que hagi estat així.

Però també, he de criticar-ho ara, sobretot perquè la censura es produeix per la por a generar soroll. Soroll que generaran els mateixos de sempre i, retirat aquest gag, trobaran qualsevol altra excusa per demanar que es retiri el programa o per exigir la dimissió d’algú. Perquè els fa por que hi hagi dos humoristes parlant amb total llibertat, i el que encara els fa més por, és que milers de joves estiguin enganxats a un contingut fet en català i des d’una perspectiva crítica. L’adoctrinament que realment els espanta és que ensenyem als joves a ser crítics amb el poder i els abusos del sistema actual. I la resta són excuses, el “puta espanya”, la publicitat o, en aquest cas la “Leticia Ortiz” només són excuses per intentar acabar amb un contingut que no els hi agrada. No parlo de TV3 en aquest cas, parlo dels de sempre. Els que prefereixen tenir els joves enganxats a campionats de globus que no poden tocar a terra i, a més a més, retransmesos en castellà, que no pas, tenir-los consumint contingut crític i en català. Autocensura-nos per estalviar que “els de sempre” generin soroll, considero que és un ERROR.

Amb aquest fil simplement vull deixar constància que retirant el fragment no fem cap favor ni a l’humor, ni a BricoHeroes, ni a TV3, ni al país en general que prou mancat està de contingut transgressor i atractiu. El “políticament correcte” ens està conduint a una societat grisa i avorrida que, sincerament, no vull que sigui la meva. Qui és el locu ara?

Wordwide Radio és un excel·lent complement per al Firefox que permet escoltar més de 62.000 emissores de ràdio de tot el món. Permet personalitzar-lo i crear una llista d’emissores preferides. En cas que una emissora no estigui donada d’alta, la podem incloure nosaltres mateixos a una llista personalitzada.

Inclou un cercador des d’on es poden cercar les emissores per països o pel nom de la ràdio, un temporitzador (sleep timer) per a desconnectar la ràdio després d’un temps determinat i l’opció de reproduir emissores aleatòriament (shuffle play). Complement recomanat per Firefox.
