RadioID.net is a website that manages the granting of numbers called “ID” to access the global network of DMR and DMR+ (Digital Mobile Radio), as according to them, can not be accessed only with the call sign of radio amateur (issued by the public administration of each country after passing an exam) and it is essential to obtain this numbering which is granted by the administrators of this private website, managed by some radio amateurs (who hide in anonymity) and which are obviously no authority or public administration of the country in question. Therefore, these “authorizations” in the form of a number have no legal validity.
In addition, this platform violates the rights of all catalan radio amateurs, as it explicitly prohibits the inclusion of the official flag of Catalonia and the name of Catalonia in the personal data of users, ie personal data, which are not of the their property, they decide them themselves and force to put “Spain” and also the “province” without any option to be able to include the county that is the genuinely catalan territorial division.
In this sense, an administrator sent us a message despising the whole nation of Catalonia, literally saying that “Catalonia has never existed”:
The owner of RadioID knows this subject and we, as a team, speak in the same way, your country cannot be Catalonia because it has never existed in history, what is certain is that today Catalonia does not exist, it is a region located in Spain and your repeated attempts to show it are unsuitable for other users.
The nonsense doesn’t end there. On the RadioID.net website there is a search engine where you can consult the callsigns and “ID” numbers of radio amateurs who are registered in the system, but recently they have modified the search engine and now the callsigns of all radio amateurs appear of the world, both those who are discharged and those who are not, including also deceased radio amateurs.
This violates Organic Law 15/1999 on the protection of personal data (LOPD) and also the European law, Regulation (EU) 2016/679. Regulation on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46 / EC.
That’s why on their website there is no information about the owners and administrators, no postal address, no email and at the time they moved their headquarters out of Europe to an unknown country.
Please note that the amateur radio license (issued by the public administration of each state after passing an examination and paying a fee) is the only valid document to be issued to authorized amateur radio bands.
We do not understand why catalan radio amateurs are not concerned about this violation of rights and contempt and do not complain to RadioID Inc, on the contrary, they continue to send the copy of the amateur radio license to strangers to register an unnecessary and stupid DIGITAL ID.
