El codi ICAO és un alfabet de lletrejar per radiotelefonia, utilitzat internacionalment en radiocomunicacions de transmissió de veu en la marina i l’aviació, tant pels serveis civils com militars.

Va ser establert per l’Organització d’Aviació Civil Internacional (ICAO), agència de l’ONU creada el 1944. També és conegut com a Interco i com alfabet fonètic ICAO.

L’utilitzen els radioaficionats i CB-istes per lletrejar els seus indicatius.

TGIF Network és una xarxa nova de DMR totalment lliure. Des d’ara disposa de reflector i servidor propi, el 4714, com a DMR+.

L’avantatge d’aquest nou sistema és que es pot connectar als hotspots o bitxos de Pi-Star, i per tant podem configurar un canal als nostres aparells de ràdio per tal de poder utilitzar aquesta nova xarxa.

Els radioaficionats continuen reivindicant Catalunya com a país del diploma DXCC.

Llista del concurs CQ World Wide WPX Contest 2021 enviada avui a l’organització fent constar Catalunya com a país/entitat del Diploma DXCC. Els radioaficionats continuen recollint signatures per a exigir a l’American Relay League (ARRL) que inclogui Catalunya la llista de països del DXCC.

The country of the stations EA3, EB3 & EC3 is Catalonia. By this reason, Catalonia must be added in the DXCC countries list by the American Radio Relay League (ARRL).

Catalonia, a nation of Europe from more than one thousand years, and the catalan radio amateurs has the right to ask the DXAC Committee to add Catalonia in the DXCC countries/entities list. We just would like to correct the historical injustice and draw the close attention of the DXAC Committee and the American Radio League (ARRL) board of directors to this fact.

Scotland, Balearic Islands, Ceuta & Melilla, Canary Islands, England, Wales, Man, Northern Ireland and Jersey counts as a separate countries in various contests and for various certificates. These territories are not independent states, like Catalonia. The only “argument” recalled in support of denying DXCC country status to Catalonia seems to be: “If we accord DXCC country status to Catalonia, we’ll be flooded by petitions to have the same status conferred on similar territories”.

Such a fear is baseless because there are few similar countries like Catalonia. There should consequently be no difficulty taking a decision to treat Catalonia as a DXCC country.

Despite the foregoing, Catalonia continues to be denied DXCC country status. This patently illogical and inequitable situation cries out for resolution, even if the unusual step of overriding the DX Advisory Committee’s recommendation has to be taken.

The ARRL board of directors would be remiss in carrying out its own duties as an elected body if it did not reserve to itself the right to reverse what it found to be a flawed finding by an advisory committee. A preferable path, of course, would be for the DXAC itself to reconsider the matter.

Therefore, we request the ARRL board directors, Mr. Richard A. Roderick (K5UR), President of the American Radio Relay League, grant DXCC country status to Catalonia.

We inform you that we have opened a campaign on change.org where more than two thousand Catalan radio amateurs have signed a petition requesting that Catalonia be recognized as a DXCC country.

Mr. Richard A. Roderick, the question is: Are you going to despise and ignore the majority (51%) of catalan radio amateurs?. Remember, decisions are made by people voting, not the ARRL.

FieldLog és un llibre de registre de comunicats per a radioaficionats molt útil i senzill, però a la vegada el més complet que s’ha desenvolupat mai. Possiblement és la millor aplicació d’aquest tipus, sense els errors i mancances de tots els altres llibres de registre existents en l’actualitat i a la vegada és la més recent, ja que està actualitzada el 25 de març de 2021.

Es pot configurar per a enregistrar els contactes de qualsevol activitat, SOTA, IOTA, ENCAT, COMCAT, etc. i els de tots els concursos sense cap excepció. També serveix com a llibre de registre diari. Permet editar els QSO amb molta facilitat, avisa dels contactes duplicats, permet enviar número de sèrie incremental o intercanvi estàtic per als concursos i exporta en quatre formats diferents, ADIF, CABRILLO, EDI i CSV (molt important i imprescindible).

És ideal per a les activitats en portable, no cal emportar-se l’ordinador a la muntanya, ja que aquesta APP d’Android inclou totes les funcions imprescindibles igual que qualsevol programa de Windows.

The DXCC diploma is managed by the American Relay League (ARRL), which refuses to include Catalonia in the DXCC countries/entities list, despite other territories that are not independent states such Scotland (United Kingdom), England (United Kingdom), Wales (United Kingdom), Man (United Kingdom), Balearic Islands (Spain), Canary Islands (Spain) are included in the DXCC list. If these territories are DXCC entities, Catalonia must also be an entity/country.

Due to the refusal of the ARRL, a campaign to collect signatures has been launched on change.org to request the ARRL to recognize Catalonia as a DXCC entity/country.

Today 1,953 signatures have been collected. We invite all the catalan radio amateurs (4,683 in total) to sign the petition. The ARRL can not ignore the thousands of radio amateurs who voted for this request.

La nova xarxa de DMR anomenada TGIF Network és d’origen nord-americà, pertany a un gran grup de radioaficionats i desenvolupadors de diferents països i és totalment independent de les xarxes BrandMeister, DMR+ i DMR Marc. Els seus servidors són als Estats Units i a altres països.

No cal crear un codeplug per a transmetre i rebre a la xarxa TGIF Network, es pot utilitzar el mateix de la xarxa de BrandMeister. Cal registrar i sol·licitar el TG que es vol utilitzar per a poder rebre i transmetre. En cas contrari, encara que el tinguem inclòs en el nostre codeplug, si no està registrat no funcionarà. Si un radioaficionat està transmetent, per exemple, al TG7227 a la xarxa BrandMeister i un altre al mateix grup TG7227 de la nova xarxa TGIF Network, no se sentiran entre si, ja aquesta xarxa és totalment independent.

En definitiva, la xarxa TGIF Network és una bona alternativa a les altres xarxes DMR (BrandMeister, DMR+ i DMR Marc) que imposen normes absurdes i en alguns casos bloquen l’accés a alguns radioaficionats.
